TMJ
Temporomandibular joint disease affects 75 million people at any one time. It is a chronic degenerative disease that may take years to develop. People who suffer from TMJ have a structural imbalance in their jaw to skull relationship, caused by a bad bite. This disease causes neck, shoulder, back, and facial pain, ringing in ears, numbness in your fingers and arms, headaches or migraines, unexplained loose teeth, and chipping and breaking of teeth and dental restorations. Advances in the science of comprehensive dentistry have enabled us to bring the jaw into a relaxed position to help ameliorate pain and discomfort. To correct this malocclusion, Dr. Tjoa may recommend the use of dental restorations that can restore your bite to a naturally comfortable position without surgery.
Teeth Bleaching
Bleaching your teeth is one of the easiest and fastest things that can be done to brighten your smile and improve your appearance and self-confidence. Years of exposure to coffee, tea, sodas, red wine, and smoking can stain teeth, giving them a dingy, dark appearance. There are three options available if you're interested in bleaching your teeth. The first is the at-home bleaching technique. We will take molds of your teeth and fabricate a custom-made bleaching tray. You will receive the whitening gel to use at home, as well as instructions on how to most effectively whiten your teeth.
The second alternative is the 30-minute speed-white that is administered in the dental office with your own existing custom bleaching trays. This is a quick boost that can be used in conjunction with your at-home bleaching trays. It will brighten your teeth 3 shades lighter in a mere 30 minutes.
The third system, the Zoom! In-Office Whitening System will make your teeth dramatically whiter in a little over an hour. The procedure is simple. It begins with a short preparation to cover your lips and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. The special whitening gel is applied to the teeth, and together with the light, gently penetrate the teeth, breaking up stains and discoloration.
Replacing Missing Teeth
Many options are available to replace missing teeth. These include bridges, implants, or partial or full dentures. There is no reason to live with missing teeth. These spaces can be unsightly and can strip away your self-confidence. Replacing missing teeth will restore chewing function, and also prevent the surrounding teeth from drifting out of position. Also, by replacing missing teeth, you are allowing your other teeth to last longer by reducing the stress placed upon them.
Invisalign Braces
Get a beautiful smile without braces. Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners. And it has been proven effective in both clinical research and in practices nationwide. So, whether your teeth are crowded, too far apart, or have shifted since wearing braces, you'll have a new reason to smile. Upon an initial examination, Dr. Tjoa will decide if Invisalign is right for you. She will write a treatment plan and take an impression of your teeth, which is submitted to Invisalign. Using the latest advances in 3-D computer technology, Invisalign carefully translates Dr. Tjoa's instructions into a series of precisely customized aligners. You then wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, moving your teeth, gradually, week by week, millimeter by millimeter, until you have achieved the intended result: straighter teeth.

CEREC
Our office is proud to offer CEREC (Chair side Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics). We use CEREC to create beautiful, natural, and extremely durable ceramic restorations. After conventional preparation, your tooth will be coated with a reflective powder. CEREC uses a state-of-the-art digital 3D camera to get accurate measurements for a digital impression. That means you don’t have to wait while a tray of impression goop hardens in your mouth. A precisely shaped impression is then diamond-cut out of ceramic material and bonded to your tooth. Now you can have restorations with a natural look and feel - all in one visit!
